last Saturday I had to reboot and upgrade a Server in our datacenter. This server is also the DHCP-Server for our System. For some reason our Hypervisors and Controller lost their management-IP, within a few minutes, which resulted in a reboot of ALL hypervisors!
I didn’t expect this and was very surprised but the biggest problem was, that after the hypervisors were back online ALL virtual machines remained stopped!
So I had to manually click on all virtual machines and start up all machines where the owner wasn’t suspended.
Can you tell me what happened? I will now configure static IP’s on our Servers. And please implement a way to automatically boot up all virtual machines that were running before the reboot.
